Summer English Language Programme

The Summer English Language Programme (SELP) on the Penryn Campus offers a range of courses for current students, researchers and staff for whom English is a second language. Where appropriate, courses are also open to family members and partners. The classes provide input and feedback on both academic and social language, and an opportunity to meet people working in other disciplines and from other countries. Courses are free and have no formal assessment, and we are aware that people may have commitments and not be able to attend every week.

Writing for Research and Publication

This course aims to help develop writing style and expression, as well as clarity and flow of ideas. A key part of the course is receiving feedback on samples of writing, and therefore you will be expected to submit written texts of up to 500 words each week. To take into account different levels of experience in writing, the first class will be a needs analysis.
